Dr. Woodruff has been an audiologist since 1986 and has helped over 5,000 people improve their hearing. He holds a Doctorate in Audiology from A. T. Still University—Arizona School of Health Sciences. Subsequently he taught as an adjunct professor at San Diego State University and has trained and lectured in-service classes to nurses, hospital staff, and the public. In addition, he currently serves as the Audiology consultant for the Poway School District in San Diego County.
Dr. Woodruff specializes in clinical Audiology, hearing aid dispensing for adults and children, sound level and environment studies for corporations, industries, and municipalities nationwide, sound and noise control and hearing conservation. He also serves as an expert witness for legal cases involving hearing or noise trauma that cause hearing loss, vertigo and/or tinnitus.
Dr. Woodruff has served on the Board for the California Academy of Audiology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Dr. Woodruff began private practice in San Diego in 1990. He founded and managed Hearing and Balance Center in Kearny Mesa until February 2007 when it was acquired by HEARx West.
He continues to service patients in the North County region with 2 offices: North County Audiology and a satellite office in Rancho Santa Fe.
Dr. Woodruff expands his efforts to help those with hearing loss as a volunteer and board member of Americans Helping Asian Children www.ahac.org charity organization with an annual mission to Southeast Asia to assist the disadvantaged and hearing impaired children.
